Whisper Within

Light as a feather, quick as the wind

Running with zeal my quest did begin

With horses before and horses behind

I wonder how far these two legs of mine

Will carry me along this equestrian trail

Before I grow wings and pass through the veil

To enter a land without worry or care

In resting to breathe, in shade to be held

By strong arms like branches’ canopy overhead

Where stillness resides, but for the whispering wind

How grateful I am, for the whisper within

Reminding me softly, like a kiss on the cheek

By grace you began and by grace you shall end

So, I am brought back to the place I began
